Renowned for her miniature weavings, Sheila Hicks’s Fenêtre series boasts the sophisticated interplay of jewel-like tones and elegant minimal form. In their composition and titles—“fenêtre” is the French word for “window”—the intimately scaled textiles suggest both openness and enclosure.
